Konami announced Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake (now known as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater) a while ago and managed to make fans of the series curious. Recent leaks have shown that Metal Gear Solid, which was released 25 years ago, may be a remake.
Claim that a remake is on the way for Metal Gear Solid
According to new rumors, Konami is working on a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid game. A website that has provided accurate leaks in the past has revealed that the company has been keeping the remake in development for several years.
It has been stated that Konami is currently focusing on the recently announced Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. However, the allegations revealed that the work on the remake continues in parallel. Interestingly, sources stated that the game is currently planned only for PlayStation 5.
This means that it will not be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox or PC platforms. However, considering that MGS Delta will be released on all platforms, the accuracy of this claim has become a matter of debate.
MGS, which first debuted in 1998, is one of the key productions of the stealth-action world. It has been on the agenda for a while with remake allegations. However, with few official details and MGS Delta entering the development process, MGS Remake was abandoned.
Since then, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 have experienced various licensing problems. In fact, two games had to be withdrawn from sale in recent years. Despite this, it was stated that the game sold more than 60 million copies through its various downloads, spin-offs and remake versions.
